My hubby the trooper. He started physical therapy yesterday now that all the staples have been removed from the graft site and the orthopedic surgeon cleared him to put weight on the leg this is what the leg looked like 2 days post surgery (sorry if I've grossed anyone out). Medicine and the human body are AMAZING. All the stuff we are learning about bones/muscles/healing is incredibly interesting. I wish I could have followed in my mother's nursing footsteps.... I truly think I'd enjoy that profession - except for the fact that I can not handle blood and guts.
Oh well... hubby needs me as his home nurse so I guess that's as close as I'll ever get!
