In the nick of time....

A last minute cruise deal for 4! Weekend Getaway here we come! Hubs and I are finally getting to go on a quick little vacation with the couple that had orignally planned to travel to France with last summer. A while back, the 4 of us decided we would hop out to Vegas for the weekend. Well, we waited to long - and the good Vegas deal became a horrible flight deal. So we decided to look for something else.

And a last minute cruise deal popped right up - for much cheaper than we would be spending to get out to Vegas. Now, I like to cruise, but I would rather go experience a place than stop in for a few hours. So this little trip down to the Bahamas is perfect becuase there isn't much I need to see at either port. Just a beach and a (vigrin) frozen drink.

Bon Voyage friends!

Oh! P.S. The hair ordeal is NOT OVER! Hair dresser lady backed-out the mess-up color. Which left me with the bleached blonde locks again. I promise, I saw it. Blonde. But then, when we put the new color on it reactivated the box color and Wah-Lah. Black hair again. But she gave me a cute cut and it blends a little better now. Maybe the sun will lighten it up. If not, she is going to try something different - if I can stand the 2 hour salon visit again. Again, what have I done?

And We're Back...

I hope everyone had a FABULOUS holiday season! I never did pick up that book, but the time away with family and friends was amazing. My new year's resolution is to not wait until holidays come around again to sit back and look at all the blessings in my life - you know, kinda like not using your fine china only once a year. Every day is special and something to be celebrated!

Hubs and I got away on a 2nd year anniversay trip. We escaped just up the road to Charleston, SC and let me tell you - best. trip. ever! Hubs, being the prince charming he is, always has something up his sleeve. This year he didn't wait to suprise me on the destination, so instead he suprised me with reservations at the Oak Steak House in Charleston. We sat at the "Chef's Table" and it was UNFORGETABLE. The food, the atmosphere. And the local sight-seeing was great. We visited the aquarium, the USS Yorktown, and did a carriage tour and ghost walk. So fun. Highly reccommended!

Happy New Year to all!

Maybe next time, Paris...

So, we cancelled our trip to France due to the hubby's immobility and succession of doc appointments.

I think there is a bad omen surrounding our little trip anyway. A friend we were traveling with busted one of his front teeth yesterday. (They are departing tomorrow - what timing.) At the dentist this morning, he and his wife were advised to cancel the trip because the tooth was cracked. However, The Second-Opinion-Dentist did a temporary fix and told them to enjoy France. See ya in 3 weeks.

Luckily it worked out - but a little too coincidental for the superstitious.

So how does Sonoma Valley in December sound?

Voulez-vouz aller avec mois?

UNBELIEVABLE. We finally booked what is being affectionately referred to a s "Eurotrip 2008." The Hub and I are so excited... and broke. But that's what being DINKS is all about, right? RIght!?   (D.ouble  I.ncome N.o K.idS)

We leave in 3 weeks. Hopefully we will be able to update this blog as we go so that the fam and friends can keep up with our travels. That would be ideal, but we'll see how much we actually get on the internet while we're gone. It's all about the experience, with each other. It will be good to be removed from American Culture for a week or so.

Want to come with me? (Translated Entry Title). We plan on being in France and Italy during Eurotrip '08. I'm all about the "off-the-beaten-path-go-where-the-locals-go" tourism so shoot me and e-mail if you have any suggestions from your trips oversees.
