When making promises...

Make sure you keep them! I was reading through some old blogs the other day and saw that during Christmas handmade gifts were mentioned, promised to be posted later, and then forgotten! So I decided to share one of the crafts today! Luck you!

A friend of mine had twin boys in September, which happened to be before her scheduled baby shower. After the boys arrived, the shower was rescheduled. Now, I LOVE handmade, personalized kind of stuff. And the mommy had mentioned that she couldn't find anything to put their names on as wall decor. So - I took that as my cue.... Two canvases, some research (I wanted to make sure the characters were exactly those on the bedding), and a little paint.... and this is what I came up with....
To be fair, I googled ideas for painting canvases - as I am REALLY good at copy cat-ting things I see and think I can do for WAY cheaper. So this is loosely drafted from a print I found during the research phase of this shower gift. And yes - I will be doing one of these for "peanut" once it gets here and gets a name!

And this was one of my absolute favorite shower gifts! The look great on the wall above the boys' cribs.

Thanks again Lauren.

Okay, I love it! I never put my pics up either. I kept waiting until after Christmas (since the items were Christmas gifts). Then, we had Christmas-after-Christmas which was in January. By the time, I finished giving out our gifts I forgot about the post. Thanks for the reminder!
